Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Legal Appeals Specialist / Analyst to support a high-volume, fast-paced legal billing environment. This role is responsible for managing the end-to-end appeals process related to billing deductions, working closely with legal teams, billing professionals, and internal stakeholders to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely resolution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate and distribute deduction reports to legal teams for invoice appeal review
  • Track and triage incoming responses from legal teams regarding appeals
  • Coordinate submission of appeal responses to billing teams for entry into eBilling platforms
  • Enter, maintain, and analyze billing and appeals data within internal systems
  • Support reporting initiatives by identifying trends, discrepancies, and process improvements
  • Ensure timely follow-up and resolution of outstanding appeals
  • Maintain professional communication across legal teams, billing departments, and leadership

Qualifications:

  • Advanced proficiency in Aderant
  • Strong working knowledge of multiple eBilling platforms
  • High-level experience with BillBlast (required)
  • Demonstrated experience in legal billing, eBilling, or appeals processes
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities
  • Ability to manage high-volume workflows in a deadline-driven environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
